Sobo & Co jewellery is a small family run UK business based in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside in Wantage which is a small market town.
With a combined set of skills and experience in the retail, wholesale and marketing sectors as well as metal work, product development and creation, Lisa and Tommy have the perfect partnership to bring to life this brand new range of handmade jewellery.
There is a lot happening in our little studio here in Wantage as we manage most of the processes in house. Our studio is a much organised chaotic space where we make, create, and shout, drink lots of coffee and home educate our two youngest children...

About our jewellery
We have had a desire for some time now to create our own brand and this year has really given us the opportunity to get it off the ground. After seeing a big shift in the marketplace, not only looking for handmade jewellery but for UK made as well, it seems to be that the choice in that sector for something unusual but practical and wearable as well as affordable is very limited
Our designs start with a pencil and paper. We make our own silicone moulds and pour all of the pewter pieces by hand as well as hand finishing them with a combination of processes. We use only the finest pewter from the British tin and pewter mill in our production. Our leather comes from both New Zealand and Italy depending on the skin, we use both cow hide and lambskin hides in our creations always looking for the finest quality and most vibrant colours. Any findings and chains we use are all 100% surgical steel so we have the absolute upmost certainty in the quality of our creations as well as complete peace of mind that our jewellery can be worn by anyone without risk of irritation. We offer a 10 year guarantee on all items, not including normal wear and tear and excluding the leather components.
As we make everything by hand the finished product will always vary ever so slightly, the hand finishing and pouring of pewter will invariably be less uniform than machine manufactured jewellery which adds to the charm and character of each piece. The same applies for the leather components, leather is a natural product and therefore there will always be variations in the grain and finish which adds to the beauty and uniqueness of each and every piece
